Hawthorne Lane is a private sandy lane just one mile West of town (off Milk Street) and this property also fronts on Upper Vestal Street for a great stroll to town for Coffee at Petticoat Bakery! The house is set at one of the highest points on the Island promising amazing light--watch sunrise and sunset and after dark you will be treated to an amazing star show.  In fact, the Maria Mitchell Observatory is located around the corner on Milk Street--look for free events.

A Nantucket vacation is all about exploring the island and discovering your favorite spots. To get started, you will find the Cisco bike path at the foot of Hawthorne Lane-- Bike to beautiful Cisco Beach on the South Shore where the Nantucket Surfing School is posted.  If you have kiddos, and want a calmer surf,  we like Jetties or Dionis Beaches on the North Shore.  An easy early morning stroll to town for coffee is a wonderful way to start the day!  Ask us about great jogging routes or just head out and explore!

Just 1 mile to the Cisco Brewery features live music most afternoons.  This is a very ACK scene where families (kids are welcome) and friends kick back for refreshments after a great day at the beach. Pick up something to go at Bartlett Farm or Lobsters at 197 fish market both near the Brewery.

The Wave bus stops at the corner of Hawthorne Lane for transportation around the Island. 15 Hawthorne Lane is very quiet and private, but extremely convenient location (just 1.6 miles to Stop & Shop) that will allow you to easily access all that Nantucket has to offer.
